Frankie Allinson and Hunter Harrell led the Panthers in singles.  Hunter Harrell made his way into the semifinals with a 6-1, 6-1 win over TJ Tanner of Waco High.  “Hunter sets a great standard for the work ethic at practice.  He shows a lot of maturity for a freshman and will be a huge part of our team in the next three years,” Coach Simonek.  Harrell would lose to the #2 Seed, Chris Niswonger of Copperas Cove, in the semifinals.

Lindsey Harrell definitely set the pace in the Women’s singles.  She would step up and dominate as she took the Women’s District Championship.  “Lindsey has had a fantastic year for the Pantherettes.  She has matured so much as a player and I am very excited for her as she heads to Regionals,” Coach Simonek.  Harrell went through her first opponents in straight sets, defeating Charolette Horn (Killeen) and Heather Pergande (Copperas Cove).  In the finals Harrell would start in dominate fashion against Keely Brown (Brownwood) taking the first set 6-1.  After being down 1-5 in the second set, Harrell made a strong push back in the set before dropping it 4-6.  Harrell would regain her control of the match in the third set and win the match 6-1, 4-6, 6-4.
